Using Fake Rocks to Hide Well Pressure Tanks

1. Fake rocks well tank house

Many users don’t know how to hide the massive water well pressure tanks with faux rock. It can be costly to build a pump house, therefore, his option can be economical and easy. One factor you need to note when using well pressure tanks is temperature. If the tanks become colder, they could freeze and get damaged. Depending on the climate in your area, you may require or not require an insulated enclosure for freeze protection and added frost. As a matter of fact, certain people use electric heat to protect the parts of the tanks that are susceptible to freezing.

 2. Measuring the height of the tank

This is one of the most important things you must do when looking for an enclosure. You should also measure the width and length of the whole ensemble of the bottom and top of the system. Majority of the installations are quite big at the base and small at the top. Therefore, ensure you remember this. Also, many are installed on concrete pad, therefore, it is important that you think about the needs to be covered as well.

3. Security

This is also an important issue, especially if the tank is located in windy areas. You don’t want your enclosure to be down the street when there is heavy wind. The 103, 104, ad 114 are equipped with flanges attached to the bottom edge. The flanges feature holes through which contain ground stakes, pinning on the edges as well.

In case a concrete is used, you can use the same metal fasteners and concrete anchors. Here, you can bolt the enclosure to the pad to enhance protection from heavy wind, as an extra security measure against being tampered with by external forces.
